The machine will look like a donut. Mine has been ordered for Monday. I get to go to the adult side of the hospital for the scan because there is only one machine at the hospital that does this scan, and it’s over there.
I need the pet cat scan to see if I have any other lumps in my body that I don’t know about.
This scan is an important part of figuring out what level my cancer is. Getting the results will help my team figure out some things about the intensity of my treatment.
Since I’m connected to my doctor at Children’s, I can get some numbing cream on my skin before they insert the IV, I think that’s pretty cool.
